Jerome J. Hinderman, 90, formerly of Maryville Heights, Hazel Green, WI, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 22, 2018, at the Epione Pavilion, Cuba City, WI.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8:30 A/M to 10:30 A/M, on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque.
Jerome was born on November 14, 1927, in Dickeyville, WI, the son of Michael and Clara (Kowalski) Hinderman. He married Alverna Cogan on May 2, 1950, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque. She preceded him in death on September 26, 1994.
He was formerly employed at Farley & Loetscher and Caradco in Dubuque until they closed. Later he was employed by the Sinsinawa Dominicans until his retirement.
Jerome was a member of St. Mary's Parish. He loved fishing and gardening. He was a big Dodger, Badgers and Packers fan. Jerome loved spending time with his grandson, Rory, and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Elliott. He would have the biggest smile when he would see Amelia and Elliott.
Surviving are his daughter, Cathy (David) Holland, of Kieler, WI; grandson, Rory (Michelle) Holland, of Cottage Grove, WI: and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Elliott; two (2) brothers, Norman (Shirley) Hinderman, Val Hinderman; two (2) sisters, Lucille Jackson and Germaine Hayes, all of East Dubuque, IL; many nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Clara; his wife, Alverna; two (2) sisters, Rosella Roth and Jean Reisen; his in-laws, Merlin Roth, Ralph "Tojo" Reisen, Merlin Hayes, and Don Jackson.
The family would like to "thank" Dr. Bearse, the nurses and staff at Epione Pavilion, and Grant County Hospice for their care and kindness given to Dad.
