Jenelle Rose Berning, 78, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Sinsinawa, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Ennoble Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dubuque.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa, WI, with Fr. Kenneth Frisch officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 3:45 P/M, on Tuesday.  Friends may also call from 9 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Church.

Jenelle was born on August 30, 1940, to Aloysius and Emma (Wiederholt) Berning near Sinsinawa.  She graduated from St. Clara Academy, Sinsinawa, in 1958.  She was employed at Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque for 15 years until her onset of health issues.

Jenelle is survived by three sisters, Bernadette (Douglas) Hilby, of Dubuque, IA, Mary Ann (Eugene) Wessling, of Omaha, NE, and Joyce (Ronald) Lansing, of Luxemburg, IA; five brothers, Richard (Mary), of rural Cuba City, WI, Gerald (Marilyn), of Cuba City, WI, Lloyd (Janet), of rural Hazel Green, WI, John (Ellen) of Menominee, IL, and Mark (Jane), of Dubuque, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clarence; and sister-in-law, Judy.

The family is grateful for the excellent care received from the staff at Ennoble Manor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, Sinsinawa, WI.
