Jeanette was born on February 1, 1938, in Jamestown Township, the daughter of Delvan and Irene (Wiederholt) Timmerman. She was united in marriage to Faber A. Runde, on November 22, 1958, at Immaculate Conception Church, in Kieler, WI.
Jeanette was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and its CCW (Council of Catholic Women). She helped put together the1977 Immaculate Conception Parish cookbook. She was also a member of the Women's Fire Auxiliary for over 30 years. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, Kieler, and St. Clara's Academy, Sinsinawa.
She was the best secretary for forty years for Runde's Feed Service and managing calls for the Town Chairman, Faber.
In her younger years, she worked in her huge garden. She was an awesome baker – her cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls were always a huge hit at family gatherings – everyone was held to a dinner roll limit for holiday meals (it was supposed to be 2 per person). Her family loved her homemade lemon meringue pies and the special treat of fresh baked bread – eaten right out of the oven. Her homemade bread always sold out fast at the parish bake sales. She could also sew just about anything. She was an avid reader. She loved spending time with family and playing games of Euchre, Yahtzee and Farkle.
Surviving are her husband, Faber Runde; her four daughters: Joanne Runde, of Dubuque, IA, Laura (Mike) Doherty, of Madison, WI, Nancy Runde, of Neenah, WI, Debra (Tom) Larson, of Peosta, IA; her grandchildren: Lindsey (Rob) Peebles, Jennifer (Dan) Merrill, Brianna (Patrick) Whaley, Mikaela Doherty and Maddy Larson; her step-grandchildren: Molly Doherty, Kelly Doherty and James Doherty; her great-grandchildren: Eleanor and Charles Merrill and Mariana Peebles, and baby, Whaley, coming in January 2025; many nieces and nephews; her in-laws: Alvina (Eldred) Timmerman, Donna (Lloyd) Runde, Ruth (Kenneth) Runde, Joyce and Howard Hull, Everett Runde
