Janet M. (Pitzen) Timmerman, 73, of St. Donatus, IA, formerly of Dickeyville, WI, passed away Friday morning, August 24, 2018, at home, following a short illness.
Funeral Services will be at 10 A/M, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery, in Dickeyville, WI.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M - 7 P/M, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque.
Janet was born on October 9, 1944, near Potosi, WI, the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Richter) Pitzen. She was united in marriage to Burnell J. "Butch" Timmerman on July 3, 1965, in Potosi. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2012.
She loved cruises, especially to Hawaii and Vancouver. Janet was an excellent wife and mother. Her favorite past-time was setting on her front porch and visiting with friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed quilting and baking, especially jelly rolls.
Surviving are three (3) children, Lori (Thad) Everson, of DeForest, WI, Lisa (Larry) Hoch, of Eau Claire, WI, and John (Carolyn) Timmerman, of Dubuque, IA; four (4) grandchildren, Danielle, Shaun, Jakob, and Shane; her siblings, James (Pauline) Pitzen, of Lancaster, WI, John "Jack" (Sharon) Pitzen, of Dickeyville, WI, Joe Pitzen, of Cassville, WI, Diane (David) Splinter, of Dickeyville, WI, Carol (Robert) Weber, of Manhattan, KS, and David (Emily) Pitzen, of Lancaster, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret; and a granddaughter, Emily.
A special "thank you" to the St. Donatus Community for their love and support throughout all of her years in St. Donatus, to her family, and to the nurses and staff from Hospice of Dubuque, for the excellent care given to our mother.
