Jane T. (Hoppman) Dalsing, 77, of rural Hazel Green, WI, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Church, in Kieler, WI, with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 8 P/M on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, where the scripture wake service will be at 2:40 P/M, Wednesday. There will also be a visitation from 9:15 A/M to 10:15 A/M on Thursday at the Parish Center.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
Jane was born on December 30, 1937, near Sinsinawa, WI, the daughter of William B. and Bertilla (Fleege) Hoppman. She was united in marriage to Donald "Sam" Dalsing on August 18, 1956, at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa.
Jane graduated from St. Clara Academy in Sinsinawa in 1955 and was a secretary at Iowa Glass Company prior to staying home and raising her five children.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Jane was an excellent housewife and terrific cook. She was known as "Grandma Jane" to many of the younger children whom she helped care for. Jane was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and its Council of Catholic Women.
Surviving is her husband, Donald E. "Sam" Dalsing; five (5) children, Vicki (Dale) Uthe and their children, Becky, Emily, Kara and Callie, Dennis (Shari) Dalsing and their children, Amber, Elizabeth and Andrew, Lynn (Tom) Hendricks and their children, Steven and Amanda, Kristi (Tom) Runde and their children, Rachael, Jacob and Jillian, and Scott (Deirdre) Dalsing and their children, Tighe, Taylor and Tierney; two (2) sisters, Myrtle Busch and Ellen (Larry) Freiburger; fourteen (14) great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty Hoppman; and a brother-in-law, Jim McMahon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertilla; a brother, Robert "Bob" Hoppman; a sister, Betty McMahon; and brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Busch.
Jane's family wishes to "thank" the nurses and staff at the Epione Pavilion and the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque for the excellent care given to their wife, mother and grandmother.
