Irma L. Spahn, 84, of Oak Park Place, Dubuque, IA, formerly of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 7 A/M, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Oak Park Place, with her family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. Mary's Church, East Dubuque, IL, with Fr. Jim Parker officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 P/M to 7 P/M, Friday, March 15, 2013, and after 9 A/M, Saturday, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the parish rosary/scripture service will be at 3 P/M, Friday, and members of the East Dubuque Volunteer Fire Department will meet at 6 P/M.

Mrs. Spahn was born on October 3, 1928, near Hazel Green, WI, the daughter of August and Delores (Runde) Fleege. She married Henry J. "Hank" Spahn on May 19, 1951, at St. Mary's Church, East Dubuque. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2010.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society. Irma was a very accomplished seamstress and tailor.

Surviving are three children, Steven (Judy) Spahn, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Cindy (Brett) Westphal, of Birchwood, WI, and Chris (Scott) Millius, of Vinton, IA; a daughter-in-law, Pam Spahn, of Madison, WI; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen (Rojemann) Heller, of Tennyson, WI, and Mary Carol Guerdet, of Dubuque, IA; and a brother, Harold (Marion) Fleege, of Hazel Green, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Patrick H. Spahn, on November 10, 2007; a granddaughter, Tiffany Spahn; and a brother, Donald Fleege.
