Harold C. Fleege, 99, of rural Hazel Green, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at St. Joseph Church, 780 County Rd. Z, Sinsinawa, WI, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Peter Auer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Harold was born on January 28, 1925, in Menominee Township of Jo Daviess County, IL, the son of August and Dolores (Runde) Fleege. He was united in marriage to Marion C. Ames, on November 14, 1946, at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque, IL.

Farming was Harold's passion. He farmed in Bloomington, WI and Hazel Green, WI. As a true farmer he loved the sun in his face and the wind on his back.

Surviving are his wife, Marion, of 77 years; five daughters, Ruth (Eldon) Sear, Dubuque, IA, Sharon (John) Brandt and Linda (Russ) Helbing, Cuba City, WI, Mary (Tom) Werner, Galena, IL, and Doris (Mike) Hayes, East Dubuque, IL; 10 grandchildren, Rob (Amy) Droessler, Kent, WA, Eric (Joy) Brandt, Dickeyville, WI, Melissa (Dave) Fichtinger, Rochester, MN, Carrie Tellevik, Wauwatosa, WI ,Katie (Chad) DeRosier, Yosemite Ntpk, CA, Tina (Troy) Marine, Muskego, WI, Heather (Craig) Roth, Hazel Green, WI, Keith (Chelsea) Hayes, Galena, IL, Nicole (John) Hayes-Austin, Christchurch, New Zealand, and Jennfier Hayes, East Dubuque, IL; 15 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren;  a sister, Mary Carol Guerdet, Dubuque, IA; brothers-in-law, Fritz (Pat) Ames, East Dubuque, IL, Jim Schulting, Black Earth, WI, and Virgil Splinter, Platteville, WI.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Lenny Runde; sisters, Eileen Rojemann, Irma Spahn; and brother, Don Fleege.

The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque, IL is assisting the family.
