Greg left us for his next great adventure on August 11, 2023. Greg was raised between Dubuque, IA, and East Dubuque, IL. He joined the Navy and served his country for 9 years. He attended the University of Iowa. Using his skills he learned in the Navy, he honed his craft and became a master electrician. He built a successful career that allowed him to pursue his passion for racing. When his son, Ryan, was born he traded racing for being a dad. Greg spent the next 19 years sharing his love of nature and all things motorized with his wife and boys; the family moved to the country where they could ride ATVs, enjoy archery, and practice target shooting. Greg spent his quiet hours teaching himself to play acoustic and electric guitar. He lived his life at full speed and without fear. His sense of adventure and engaging laugh will be missed by those who love him and are left behind.
Greg leaves behind his wife, Kelly (nee Payne); his sons, Ryan & Alex (wife Kate); his sister, Lynn Hoke; his brothers, Gary Dunham & Jason Bauer; his father, Frank Kritz; and his step-father, Dan Bauer. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, friends & other family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn (Galle); grandparents, Robert & Armella Henry and Gilbert & Mary Galle, as well as aunts & uncles.
