Gerald D. "Pud" Temperley, 87, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be at 11 A/M, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, with Rev. Dianne Grace officiating. A visitation will be from 9 A/M - 10:45 A/M, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery, with military honors by members of the Dubuque Marine Corps League.
Pud was born in East Dubuque, on June 22, 1930, the son of Jacob and Evelyn (Fawcett) Temperley. He was united in marriage to Pat Bisdorf, on March 1, 1952, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, in East Dubuque.
He was a graduate of East Dubuque High School, Class of 1948. Pud was employed at the Dubuque Packing Company for (40) years, and was a former member of the United Food & Commercial Workers, Local 150-A. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cutting grass.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; three (3) children, Gary (Dalene "Toots") Temperley, of East Dubuque, IL, Sandy (Loras) Koos, of LaMotte, IA, and Tina (Rick) Chapman, of Cave Creek, AZ; six (6) grandchildren; and two (2) great-grandsons; a sister, Sheila (Roger) Crapp, of Longmont, CO; a sister-in-law, Velda Temperley, of East Dubuque, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Evelyn; three (3) brothers, Douglas, Ronald "Pete", and Paul Temperley.
In lieu of flowers, a Gerald D. "Pud" Temperley Memorial Fund has been established.
