Frederick C. "Fritz" Ramaker, 92, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away, on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Dubuque Specialty Care.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque,with Fr. Stephen Lundgren officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by members of the Dubuque Marine Corps League.

Visitation will be from 9:30 A/M to 10:45 A/M, on Wednesday, at St. Mary's Church.

The Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

Fritz was born on October 23, 1923, in rural East Dubuque, the son of Mathias and Lena (Bechtold) Ramaker. He was employed at John Deere Dubuque Works, retiring in 1983. Fritz loved to walk at the Mall, visit with his friends and was always watching over the farms.

He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and a former member of the U/A/W, Local #94. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are two (2) sisters-in-law, Alverna Ramaker, of Hazel Green, WI, and Janet Ramaker, of St. Paul, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings and in-laws, Catherine (Walter) Handfelt, Frank (Agnes) Ramaker, Joseph Ramaker, Leo Ramaker, John (Kathleen Munyon) Ramaker and Marian (Raymond) Lange.
