Frank A. Hornung, 64, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, IA, following a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 P/M, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Frank was born on November 28, 1958, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Harland W. "Curly" and Mary (Miller) Hornung.

He was a graduate of East Dubuque High School, the Class of 1977. Frank was formerly employed at Klauer Manufacturing and Spahn and Rose Lumber Company.

Frank enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Surviving are his two children, Lisa Hornung, of Bettendorf, IA, and Robbie (Vanessa) Hornung, of Dubuque, IA; four grandchildren, Gabe, Levi, Harper and Addison; his siblings, Gary (Linda) Hornung, of Dubuque, IA, Steven (Sue) Hornung, of Peosta, IA, Chris (Deb) Hornung, of Blanchard, MI, Mary Jo (Jim) Pullen, of Dubuque, IA, Andy (Sheri) Hornung, of Galena, IL, Ellen (Sue) Hornung, and Beth (Steve) Weydert both of Dubuque IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland and Mary; his son, Brian; and sister, Lynn Kelly.
