Francis R. Rosemeyer, 95, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

Family and friends may call from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, at the church.  Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque is assisting the family.

Francis was born on August 4, 1928, near Sinsinawa, WI, the son of Frank B. and Lucilla M. (Runde) Rosemeyer.  He was a graduate of East Dubuque High School, the Class of 1946. Francis was united in marriage to Pearl L. Hamilton, on August 12, 1950, at St. Mary's Church in Dubuque, IA.

He was employed as a salesman for Sieg-Dubuque Automotive Company until his retirement. Francis enjoyed the river, boating, fishing, hunting, and family vacations.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl; two sons, Ross F., of Davenport, IA, and Neil G., of East Dubuque, IL; two grandchildren, Traci Rosemeyer and Leah Rosemeyer, both of Davenport, IA; and a great grandson, Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Anthony "Tony" Rosemeyer; a daughter-in-law, Susan (Tollefson) Rosemeyer; six siblings, Norb (Rita), Lloyd (Mildred), Vince (Alice), Joe (Vi), Rita (Jack) Allgeyer, Mary (Tom) Fluhr; and two nieces, Jill Kamm and Vickie Vaughan.
