Elmer J. Kaiser, 90, of Dickeyville, WI, and formerly of rural Cuba City, WI, passed away at 2:55 A/M, Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa, WI, with Rev. Lance Schneider, Rev. Bernard Rott, Rev. Bart Timmerman and Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL and after 10 A/M on Wednesday at the church.
Elmer was born on August 9, 1922, in Jamestown Township of Grant County, WI, the son of Joseph and Mary Kaiser. He married Dorothy M. Timmerman on August 18, 1948, at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa.
Elmer formerly farmed and was a long time member of the NFO and the Grant County Farm Bureau. He was a former member of St. Joseph's Parish and its Holy Name Society, plus held numerous offices at the parish. Elmer was a member of the Hazel Green Knights of Columbus, Council #7370, loved dancing, bowling and was an avid Euchre and 500 player.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; three children, William J. (Judy) Kaiser, of Hazel Green, WI and Crystal River, FL, Mary Beth (Jerry) Stangl, of Hazel Green, WI, and Samuel C. (friend, Joyce Fischer) Kaiser, of Cuba City, WI; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one on the way; and his sister, Rita (Eugene) Kowalski, of Cuba City, WI.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bertilla (James) Leibfried and Rosella (Francis) Droeszler.
