Elizabeth "Betty" Enright, 88, of Scales Mound, IL, passed away, on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Elizabeth Nursing Home, in Elizabeth, IL.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Scales Mound, with Fr. David Reese officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 A/M - 11 A/M, on Friday, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, of Scales Mound, is serving the family.
Betty was born on November 21, 1928, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Grymonprez) Van De Walle. She was a 1946 graduate of Orion High School. Betty was united in marriage to Marvin Enright, of Erie, IL, on February 5, 1949, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Colona, IL. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2012.
They farmed at Hillsdale, Erie and Stockton, IL. She worked for the Northwest Illinois Community Action Agency, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include her ten (10) children, Susan Michalek, of Ralston, NE, Ronald (Dana), of Little Chute, WI, Jean (John) Zeal, of Elizabeth, IL, Janet (Michael) Morton, of Rockford, IL, Gerald (Sandra), of Menominee Falls, WI, Rodney (Sandra), of Freeport, IL, Kent (Denise) of Mineral Point, WI, Patrick (Tina DeGarmo), of Scales Mound, IL, Kris (Brenda), of Stockton, IL, and Dennis (Tonya), of Independence, IA; (23) grandchildren; and (20) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of (62) years, Marvin Enright; her parents, Arthur and Margaret; a sister, Helen Zobrust; a brother, Joe Van De Walle; a son-in-law, Richard Michalek; and (1) granddaughter, Erin Michalek.
Betty's family wishes to give "special thanks" to Dr. Mary Koenigs and the nurses and staff at the Elizabeth Nursing Home and Grand View Estates Assisted Living Center for the excellent care provided to their Mother.
