Obituary
Edna C. Roth, 93, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away, on Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Facility.
Family graveside services will be at a later date at the East Dubuque Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, is assisting the family.
Edna was born on June 22, 1921, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Arthur W. and Margaret (Petersen) Metzger.
She married Dorrance N. Roth, on May 12, 1942, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque. Edna and Dorrance celebrated seventy-two (72) years of marriage this past May.
She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, a good game of euchre and camping.
After Dorrance's retirement, Edna & Dorrance, were the camp hosts at Yellow River Campgrounds, near Harpers Ferry, IA, for 18 years.
Surviving are her husband, Dorrance; two (2) daughters, Karen Roth, of East Dubuque, IL, and Connie (Clarence) Weber, of Hazel Green, WI; six (6) grandchildren; twelve (12) great-grandchildren; and nine (9) great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Howard Metzger.
Dorrance, Karen, Connie and their families wish to "thank" the nurses and staff at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community, and Dr. Grey Vandigo for the wonderful care given to Edna.
