Dorothy Catherine Dittmar, 96, of rural Apple River, IL, passed away at 10:03 A/M, on Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community, Galena, IL.

Funeral Services will be at 11 A/M, on Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Zion Presbyterian Church, in Schapville, IL, with Pastor Dottie Morizzo officiating. Friends may call after 10 A/M, on Friday, at the church.

Burial will be in the Zion Presbyterian Cemetery.

The Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, of Scales Mound, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born on March 11, 1918, near Apple River, IL, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Hammer) Dittmar.

She was a homemaker and life-long member of Zion Presbyterian Church. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, quilting and playing the piano.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Raymond, Leon, Helmer, Clifford, Marvin and Delbert Dittmar, Olive Niemenn, Elma Koehn, Alverna Busch, Loretta Woodward and Bernice Winters.

Memorials may be given to Zion Presbyterian Church in Schapville.
