Dorothy C. Anger, 89, of Galena, IL, passed away at 5:15 P/M, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, with Rev. Dr. Fred Baltz officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, IL.

Visitation will be from 2 P/M to 6 P/M, on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Galena.

Dorothy was born on December 8, 1924, near Blanding's Landing, rural Hanover, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Sanderson) Fowler.

She was united in marriage to Robert E. (Bob) Anger, Sr., on September 7, 1946, in Savanna, IL. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2001.

Dorothy was formerly employed at Burgess Battery Factory, in Galena, and later at Eaton Corporation, in Hanover, IL.

She loved playing solitaire, Word Search books and crocheting.

Surviving are three (3) children, Robert Anger, Jr, of Staten Island, NY, Ron (Judy) Anger and Nancy Dayton, both of East Dubuque, IL; nine (9) grandchildren; fifteen (15) great-grandchildren; two (2) great-great-grandchildren; two (2) sisters, Marge Brandt, of Savanna, IL, and Sandra (Dave) Fonger, of Onalaska, WI; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Wullweber, of Galena, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; son-in-law, Durrell Dayton; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann "Max" Anger; a brother, Gordon Fowler; and a sister, Phyllis Anger.
