Donaleen M Mead, 63, of Luther Manor, Dubuque, IA, formerly of Galena, IL and East Dubuque, IL, died at 2:15 P/M, Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Luther Manor.

Private family services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the East Dubuque Cemetery. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

Donaleen was born on October 12, 1948, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Donald L and Eileen (Hattendorf) Mead.

Donaleen was formerly a resident of Rainbow Ridge in Galena for approximately 17 years and was employed at the Jo Daviess Workshop. She loved bowling, knitting, and crocheting.

Surviving is a brother, Guy (Eldine) Mead, East Dubuque, IL, her nephews and nieces, Reuben (Sally) Mead, Gretchen (Joshua Knox) Mead, Taryn (fiance'Scott) Mead, and seven great nieces and nephews.

Donaleen was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Arnold and Clara Hattendorf.

Guy, Eldine and family wish to thank the nurses and staff at Luther Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care given to Donaleen.
