Dolores A. Timmerman, 93, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of East Dubuque, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Hawkeye Care Center, in Dubuque.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Raphael's Cathedral, in Dubuque. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, in Dubuque.
Dolores was born on November 16, 1924, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Rudolph and Ann (Lyke) Beversdorf. She was formerly a waitress at the Elks Lodge and The Dodge House, in Dubuque. Dolores was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War #2.
Surviving are five (5) daughters, Sharon (Terry) Donath, of Dubuque, IA, Margaret Fox, of East Dubuque, IL, Kelly (Frank) Yurasek, of Oak Park, IL, Jean (Steve) Tigges, of Key West, IA, and Dawn (Dale) Patterson, of Zwingle, IA; eight (8) grandchildren, Troy (Sara), Jason (Jenny), George, Jamie, Holly (Greg), Christopher (Jenny), Jeffrey (Jamie), and Toni Jo (Ronnie); twenty (20) great-grandchildren; one (1) sister, Tina Key, of Dubuque, IA; one (1) brother, Duane Beversforf, of California; and a lifelong friend, Bee Buelow, of Dubuque, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two (2) husbands, Larry Stoedter, whom she married in 1946, and Eugene "Matty Timmerman, whom she married in 1958; three (3) grandchildren, Jodi Lee Donath, Jenny Green, and Marshalle Pfab; her siblings, Rudolph "Bud" and Richard Beversforf, and Beverly Gregory; and son-in-law, George Fox.
The family would like to extend "special thanks" to the nurses and staff at Hawkeye Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque for the excellent care provided to their mother.
