Dolores M. "Dee" (Maus) Bonnet, 97, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 8:24 A/M, on Monday, January 23, 2017, at home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish scripture service will be recited at 3:30 P/M, and from 9:30 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Saturday, at St. Mary's Church.
Dee was born on October 24, 1919, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of William M. and Mae (Martin) Maus.
She was united in marriage to Ralph H. Bonnet on January 25, 1949, at St. Patrick's Church, in Dubuque. Ralph preceeded her in death on March 3, 2008.
Dee enjoyed bowling, euchre, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She formerly worked with Dee Reynolds doing catering events. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society, a former member of the 62+ Club and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are two (2) daughters, Sharon Snyder, of Galena, IL, and Pat Bonnet, of East Dubuque, IL; four (4) grandchildren, Brad (Rina) Snyder, Michael (Kathy) Snyder, Amanda Lee, and Matthew (Lindsay) Snyder; twelve (12) great-grandchildren, Ethan, Nina, David, Bibiana, Gaby, Lilly, Teddy, Ava, Nya, Ryan, Gavin and Luke; a sister, Evelyn Schweikert, of Dubuque, IA; a sister-in-law, Leona "Pete" Ginter, of Kieler, WI; a brother-in-law, Wesley Hoots, of Rock Island, IL; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mae; her husband, Ralph; siblings, Myra, Pearl, Laura, Bette, Carl and James.
A special "thank you" to Hospice of Dubuque, especially Shirley and Julie, for the excellent care provided to our Mother!
In lieu of flowers, a Dolores "Dee" Bonnet Memorial Fund has been established.
