Deloris E. Moser, 94, of Galena, IL died at 7:50 A/M, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, with the Rev Dennis Hill officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, Friday, July 13, at the funeral home.

Deloris was born on August 4, 1917 in Galena, the daughter of Bertha Kort Simon.

She married Philip R. "Zip" Moser on July 24, 1937 in Leadville, Colorado. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1981. Deloris was a member of St Matthew Lutheran Church.

She was formerly employed at the Savanna Army Depot, Burgess Battery and retired from Valves and Controls in Hanover. Following retirement she worked at the Belvidere House for approximately eighteen years as a tour guide and in housekeeping.

Deloris enjoyed her traveling that she did through Tri-State Travel Tours. She also enjoyed her time spent with family & cooking way too much food for them. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't enjoy taking care of her flowers and feeding the birds. Her love for lighthouses didn't stop with her collection, but traveling to see them also.

Surviving are a son, Harold "Jim" and Marie Moser, Galena; four grandchildren, Jerry Moser, Tom (Courtney) Moser, Cindy (Chris Holland) Moser and Kristy (Kirk Lenenfelser) and by four great-grandchildren, Ryely, Corwin, Kiera and Hale, plus two great-grandchildren due shortly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a daughter, Linda, a son, Jerry, and her aunt, Marie Crawford.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque and the Galena Fire Department.
