Dean M. "Deano" Meyer, 66, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 10:44 P/M, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA.

Funeral Services will be at 4:30 P/M, Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, with Rev. Dean Smith officiating.

Graveside services will be at 9:30 A/M, Monday, November 4, 2013, at the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 P/M to 5 P/M, Sunday, November 3rd, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque.

Dean was born on August 18, 1947, the son of Bernard and Virginia (Zimpel) Meyer. He married Sharon Breitbach on October 22, 1998.

He was a graduate of Boscobel, Wisconsin High School. Dean was a bartender at the Admiral's Hi-Hat Lounge in East Dubuque and Dubuque, and Dino's Backside, East Dubuque. He enjoyed playing pool, was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, an avid euchre player, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon; five children, Michael Meyer, of East Dubuque, IL, Amy (Brandon) Miller, of Richland Center, WI, Kim (Kevin) Beck, of Dubuque, IA, Trenda (Rick) Gravel, of Bernard, IA, and Amanda Habel, of East Dubuque, IL; 11 Grandchildren, Zach, Emma, Nolan, Berkley, A.J., Riley, Taylor, Brody, Bailey, Lexie, and Ayla; his siblings, Don "Admiral" (Loie) Meyer, of Dubuque, IA, Pat Meyer and Ron Meyer, both of East Dubuque, IL, and Diana (John) Sullivan, of Mt. Horeb, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Darlene.

Sharon and family wish to express their "thanks" to the attending physicians and staff at Mercy Medical Center for the wonderful care provided to Dean and his family!
