David J. Ramaker, 67, of rural Hazel Green, WI passed away at 7:56 A/M, Friday, November 16, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side following a brief battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sinsinawa, WI with Rev. Lance Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 P/M to 8 P/M, Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the parish prayer service will be at 2:40 P/M Monday.

Dave was born on July 11, 1945 in Hazel Green Township, Grant County, WI, the son of Leo H. and Alverna M. (Budden) Ramaker.

He was a graduate of Wahlert High School, class of 1963. He married Jean Siegert on July 1, 1967 at St. Joseph's Church, Dubuque, IA. Dave farmed, and was formerly employed at Freezer Services Company, East Dubuque, IL. He was an avid Green Bay Packer, University of Wisconsin Badger and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's athletic events and activities.

Surviving are his wife, Jean; seven children, Julie Brimeyer, Dubuque, IA, Jan (Randy) Ernzen, Hazel Green, WI, Jodi (Ryan) Gaherty and Joyce (Perry) Moser, Dubuque, IA, Davy (JoAnn) Ramaker, Hazel Green, WI, Doug Ramaker, Iowa City, IA, and Darin (Rachael) Ramaker, East Dubuque, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Derek, Shannon, Dustin, MacKenzie, Kayla, Gage, Alisa, Savannah, Madison, Deanna, Zach and one on the way; his mother, Alverna Ramaker, rural Hazel Green, WI; four sisters, Rose Girton, Yorba Linda, CA, Mary (Larry) Westhoff, New Vienna, IA, Ruth (Dan) Timmerman, Menominee, IL, and Carol (John) Weaver, Allen, TX.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Leo; son-in-law, Jim Seymour, brother-in-law, Dave Girton; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl (Lorraine) Siegert.

A David J. Ramaker Memorial Fund has been established.
