Dale H. Lange, 83, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away , on Monday, December 21, 2015, at home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 P/M, on Monday, December 28, 2015, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by members of the Dubuque Marine Corps League.
Visitation will be from 2 P/M to 6 P/M, on Sunday, December 27, 2015, and from 12:30 P/M to 1:15 P/M, on Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the Parish and Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited on Sunday, at 1:30 P/M. Members of the East Dubuque Volunteer Fire Department will meet, on Sunday, at 3 P/M, at the funeral home.
Dale was born on August 10, 1932, in East Dubuque, the son of Joseph and Rena (Grassel) Lange. He was united in marriage to Joyce A. Hein, on November 23, 1957, at St. Columbkille's Church, in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2010.
Dale was formerly employed as a diesel mechanic for Iowa Coaches, Inc., Flexsteel Industries, and retired from McCoy Truck Country in 1995.
Dale was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Knights of Columbus - Council #7227, Msgr. C. F. Conley - 4th degree, a retired member of the East Dubuque Volunteer Fire Department, serving from 1960-1987, and loved woodworking. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are six (6) children, Scott (Tracy) Lange, of Houston, TX, Kevin (Mary) Lange, of Bettendorf, IA, Kurt (Kim) Lange and Stephanie Lange, both of East Dubuque, IL, Linda (Brian) Feltes, of Dickeyville, WI, and Thomas Lange, of East Dubuque, IL; sixteen (16) grandchildren; and twenty-three (23) great-grandchildren; his brother, Harold "Skip" (Mary Jean) Lange, of East Dubuque, IL; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; three (3) sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Lange, of East Dubuque, IL, Phyllis Lange, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Carol Lange, of East Dubuque, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce A. Lange; a sister, Elaine "Pal" Potter; and three (3) brothers, Jerry, Bob, and Joe Lange.
