Clem J. Donar, 89, of Menominee, IL, passed away at 2:30 P/M, Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, Menominee, with the Rev. Michael Barry officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:30 P/M to 8 P/M on Friday, February 8, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the parish rosary will be recited at 4:30 P/M.
Clem was born on December 4, 1923, at home in Menominee, the son of Henry and Theresa (Bishop) Donar, the fourth of six children.
Clem grew up in the Menominee and Galena area, attending school at "Dirty" Ridge School and Menominee School. He farmed with his parents, brothers and sisters in the Menominee and Galena area, and near Potosi, WI. After leaving Potosi, he farmed with his nephew, Dan and Mary Kay Donar. Upon retirement, he lived in East Dubuque and later in Menominee.
Surviving are one sister, Marie; and a sister-in-law, Mary Donar, both of Menominee; nephews, Dan (Mary Kay) Donar, of Menominee, and Leo "Lee" (Vickie) Donar, of Hazel Green, WI; nieces, Theresa (Lewis) Riniker, of Galena, IL, Linda (Don) Stierman, of Toledo, OH, and Brenda (Ron) Donar, of Cuba City, WI; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins, amongst them, Audrey Collis and Barbara (Steve) Vogt.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Leo and Nicholas; a sister, Anna Mae; and two great nieces, Rebecca Riniker and Alazaya Vickerman.
