Mrs. Bob (Carol J.) Hall, 75, of Galena, IL, passed away at 2 A/M, Saturday, September 21, 2013, at home, with her family at her side.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A/M, Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, with Rev. John Lee officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena.
Friends may call from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, Tuesday, September 24th, and after 9:30 A/M until time of services on Wednesday, September 25th, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena.
Carol was born on June 7, 1938, in Galena, the daughter of William and Pearl (Richardson) Schultz. She was united in marriage to Robert F. "Bob" Hall on February 14, 1958, at the Galena United Methodist Church.
Carol was formerly employed at the Jo Daviess County Housing Authority, Valves & Controls in Hanover, and was a secretary for Corky Stephenson during the tax season.
Carol participated in the Galena Farmer's Market and also market at their home for many years. She was a master fisherman, former East Galena Township Supervisor, former girl scout leader, former President of the Home Extension Service, was an excellent cook and loved to travel with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Robert "Bob" Hall; three children, Cathy (Dan) Wienen, of Galena, IL, Dan (Lisa) Hall, of Scales Mound, IL, and Russ (Susan) Hall, of Galena, IL; three grandchildren, Hunter Hall, Brian Wienen, and Anna (Jacob) Carter; a sister-in-law, Joann (Melvin) Huttenlocher, of Davis, IL; two nieces, Linda (Paul) Connor and Mary (Carlise) Hesselbacher.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Marge Baker.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.
Bob and his family would like to "thank" Hospice of Dubuque and Dr. Mary Koenigs and staff for the wonderful care provided to Carol.
