Carl J. Osterhaus, 91, of Dickeyville, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024, at home under the care of Hospice.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville, with Fr. Bernard Rott and Fr. Peter Auer concelebrating. A Private family burial will be in the Gockel Cemetery, Glen Haven, WI.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Monday at the church, where the parish rosary will be recited at 8:45 a.m. The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque, IL is assisting the family.

Carl was born on September 17, 1932, near Bloomington, WI, the son of Joseph and Rose (Wegmann) Osterhaus. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Kuenster on May 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on April 18, 1953.  He later was united in marriage to Linda (Droessler) Donovan, on June 4, 1981, at St. Mary's Church, Dubuque, IA.

Carl was a Bricklayer/Mason until his retirement and worked for various masonry companies. He was an avid sports fan and loved to socialize with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Osterhaus; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Osterhaus, of Glen Haven, WI; a step-son, John (Tara) Donovan, of Hazel Green, WI; seven grandchildren, Holly (Jared) Crubel, Lyndsey (Phil) Miles, Kalie (Ryan) Pillow, Andrew (Anne) Donovan, Nathan Donovan, Emma Donovan and Olivia Donovan; six great-grandchildren, Riley and Korbin Miles, Blake and Sadie Crubel, and Carter and Charlotte Pillow; two brothers, Paul (Charlene) Osterhaus and Joe (Leona) Osterhaus; and a sister-in-law, Mary Osterhaus.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Kathleen; his son, Larry; grandson, Dustin; and siblings, Roger (Phyllis) Osterhaus, Don Osterhaus and Myrt (Chris) Christianson.
