Obituary

Bruce S. Miller, 62, 16365 Rt. 20 West, East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 11:19 A/M, Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Finley Hospital, Dubuque, IA with his family by his side.

Funeral Services will be at 10 A/M, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL with Pastor Dianne Grace officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque, IL Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL.

Bruce was born on May 7, 1950 in Dubuque, IA, the son of George W. and Lois J. (Meier) Miller. He was a graduate of East Dubuque High School, class of 1968. He married Glenda Kuhl on September 7, 1974 at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa, WI.

Bruce was formerly employed at the John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works and was a member of UAW Local #94. Bruce loved NASCAR racing and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Surviving are his wife, Glenda (Kuhl) Miller; three daughters, Elissa (Tim) Murphy and Erin (Tom) Loso, both of East Dubuque, IL and Sara Miller, Dubuque, IA; six grandchildren, Katelyn, Benjamin, Peyton, Natalie, Sophia, and Maddus (Papa's little buddy); his mother, Lois Roth; four sisters, Valerie (David) Clancy, East Dubuque, IL, Kathy (friend, Mike Ohms) Roth, East Dubuque, IL, Laurie (Ernest) Porche, Kenner, LA, and Cindy (Brian) Yoerger, East Dubuque, IL; five brothers, Dwight (friend, Becky) Miller, East Dubuque, IL, Ronald (Barbara) Roth, Wayland, IA, Brian (friend, Jackie Loso) Roth, Jeff (Mary) Roth and Brett "Gus" Roth, all of East Dubuque, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, George W. Miller, in 1951, his step-father, Louis Roth, in 1996, two brothers, George Miller in 1994 and Darrell "Diz" Roth in 2010, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin and Marie (Neis) Kuhl, and brother-in-law, Thomas Hoppman.

Dr. Garrett Ridgeley and his nurse, Lisa, Dr. Ronald Schope, Dr. David Ringold and the staff at Tri-State Dialysis Center, Dr. Mark Hermann, Patty from Finley-Hartig Home Health Care, the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department, Galena Area EMS and the staff at the Finley Hospital for the wonderful care given to Bruce.
