Betty Ann Schueller, 78, of Menominee, IL, passed away Thursday evening, February 14, 2019, at home, surrounded by her family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Nativity BVM Church, in Menominee, IL, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in Nativity BVM Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where a parish scripture service will be at 3:30 P/M, Wednesday. There will also be a visitation from 9:30 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Thursday, at the church.
Betty was born on April 12, 1940, near Guttenberg, IA, the daughter of Harold and Louise (Dryer) Blume. She was united in marriage to John A. Schueller, Sr, on February 11, 1961, at St. John the Baptist Church, Peosta, IA. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2016.
Betty was a homemaker whose main job was raising her family. She was a terrific cook and was known for her delicious apple pies. Betty enjoyed playing euchre, gambling, baking, and was a strong faith filled woman. She was a member of Nativity BVM Parish.
Surviving are nine (9) children, Mary Lou (Dan) Fitzgibbons, Connie (Bob Wemett) Schueller, both of East Dubuque, IL, John Schueller, Jr, of Dyersville, IA, Mark (Debbie) Schueller, of East Dubuque, IL, Joyce (fiance', Mark Sarazin) Schueller, of Hazel Green, WI, Daryl (Lois) Schueller, of East Dubuque, IL, Diane (Chris) Kennedy, of North Dakota, Bob (Missy) Schueller, of Cuba City, WI, and Richard (Cindy) Schueller, of Platteville, WI; fourteen (14) grandchildren, Alex, Stuart (Becky), Carson, Carter, Kaylee, Nate, Dakota, Hunter, Megan, Ricky, Jr. (Bry), Tim, Hanna, Lainey and Aidan; two (2) great-grandchildren, Landon and McKenzie; and one (1) sister, Shirley Schueller, of Epworth, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Louise Blume; her husband, John; and her sister, Kathleen Gordon.
Betty's family wishes to "thank" Dr. Jennifer Mohr and staff, Dr. Khan, the nurses and staff of Mercy One - Dubuque Medical Center, Hospice of Dubuque, and her special caregivers, Mary Jane, Diann, Jean, Lori, and Barb, for all of their care and attention given to their mother and grandmother.
