Obituary
Bernice M. Snyder, 86, of Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, IA, formerly of Hazel Green, WI, passed away Monday morning, July 3, 2017, at Stonehill Care Center, in Dubuque, IA.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Friday, July 7, 2017, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Kieler, WI, with Fr. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 P/M, on Thursday.
Visitation will continue on Friday morning, from 9:15 A/M to 10:15 A/M, at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center, in Kieler.
Bernice was born on August 19, 1930, on the family farm in Bellevue, IA, the daughter of Maynard and Ruth (Tucker) Hartung. She married Alfred Snyder on June 2, 1954, at St. Joseph's Church, in Bellevue, IA. Together they operated the Snyder Family Farm, and she was also employed at St. Dominic Villa. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, in Kieler.
Surviving are three (3) children, Sharon Snyder, of Hazel Green, WI, Jean (Larry) Ginter, of East Dubuque, IL, and Edward (Michelle) Snyder, of Hazel Green, WI; seven (7) grandchildren, Amanda (Douglas) Voss, Amy (Mike) Shireman, Angie (Kurt) Curtis, Andy (Melissa) Ginter, Ashley (Jonathan) Reuter, Brandon Snyder and Samantha Snyder; thirteen (13) great-grandchildrens; a sister, Mary (Earl) Fischer, of Dubuque, IA; a sister-in-law, Bernadine Hartung, of Preston, IA; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Snyder; son, Daniel Snyder; parents, Maynard and Ruth Hartung; a grandson, Adam Ginter; siblings, Lawrence (Rita) Hartung, Loras Hartung, Joseph Hartung, Kathleen (Leroy) Kilburg, and Madonna Kirk.
A Bernice M. Snyder Memorial Fund has been established.
