Benjamin F. "Ben" Meusel, 79, of Stockton, IL, formerly of Galena, IL, passed away at 12:30 A/M, Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA.

Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 7 P/M on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home in Scales Mound.

Graveside committal services will be at Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Schapville, IL, with Rev. Dottie Morizzo officiating.

Ben was born on December 6, 1935, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Benjamin A. and Tessa (Franklin) Meusel. He was a graduate of Galena High School, class of 1954. He married Kathleen "Kate" Geiger on November 21, 1957, in Galena.

Ben served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from John Deere Dubuque Works where he served as a supervisor. Ben had a deep love for cars and his pets.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "Kate" Meusel, of Stockton; one (1) son, Michael (Sue) Meusel, of Scales Mound, IL; three (3) grandchildren, April (Brenden) Pautsch, Troy Meusel and Shawn (Katie) Meusel; seven (7) grandchildren, Gavin, Caitlyn and Keegan Pautsch, Sutton Meusel, Eric, Luke and Sidney Meusel.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Tessa Meusel; a grandson, Kurt Meusel; and two (2) sisters, Betty DeBuhr and Marie Carlisle.
