Andrew Patrick "Andy" Runde, 39, of East Dubuque, IL, and formerly of Menominee, IL, passed away, suddenly, at 7:02 P/M, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, in Dubuque, IA.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, in Menominee, IL, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Nativity BVM Cemetery, in Menominee.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 8 P/M, on Monday, March 28, 2016, and from 9:15 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish scripture service will be at 2:30 P/M, on Monday, and members of the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department will meet at 6:30 P/M, on Monday.
Andy was born on March 7, 1977, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Ronald J. and Gail D. (Osthoff) Runde. He was united in marriage to Stella K. Schueller, on October 6, 2007, at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa, WI.
He was employed at the John Deere Dubuque Works. Andy was a member of the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department. He enjoyed boating, sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #94, and loved hanging out at his Uncle Pat's farm. Family and friends were a very important part of Andy's life. He was an organizer of the Kennedy Acres Halloween Parade for the past two years.
Surviving are his wife, Stella (Schueller) Runde; two (2) children, Hailey Runde and Ryan Runde; his parents, Ronald J. "Ron" Runde and Gail (Merlin) Hoftender, both of East Dubuque; his siblings, Jeremy (Tammy) Runde, of Peosta, IA, Tony (Erin) Runde, Jessica (Neil) Schonhoff, and Chris (Katie) Hoftender, all of East Dubuque, IL; his in-laws, Allison Gillies (Tom Smith), of East Dubuque, IL and Steve Schueller, of Crossett, AR; his brother-in-law, Nate Schueller, of Galveston, TX; his step-grandmother, Arlene Osthoff, of Guttenberg, IA; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dick and Eloyse (Budden) Runde, Theresa and Bob Quinlan, and Keith Osthoff; and a brother-in-law, Mark Schueller.
Andy's family wishes to "thank" the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department, the East Dubuque Area Ambulance Service, the East Dubuque Police Department, and the Emergency Department at Mercy Medical Center, for their quick response, kindness and compassion.
