Andrew P. "Cowboy" Nesbitt, 37, of Hazel Green, WI, formerly of rural Apple River, IL, passed away Saturday morning, May 19, 2018, as the result of injuries received from a four-wheeler accident on the family farm in rural Apple River.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A/M, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Scales Mound, IL., with his uncle, Pastor David Lindemer, officiating. Burial will be in the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Cemetery, in Schapville, IL, where military honors will be accorded by members of Sprague-Inman American Legion Post, #577, of Lena, IL.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 8 P/M, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Scales Mound, IL.
Andy was born on March 3, 1981, in Galena, IL, the son of William D. "Bill" and Karlene "Karlie" (Nesbitt) White. He was attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, majoring in the Criminal Justice program. Andy was a bouncer and bartender at the Friendly Inn, in Monroe, WI. He previously served in the U. S. Army, as a Communications Engineer, with the Army Signal Corps, attached to the 7th Calvary, at Ft. Hood, TX, and served a tour in Bosnia.
Andy was very outgoing, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and working around the family farm. He was a Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys fan. Andy enjoyed skydiving, shooting his first deer in 2017, the first year he went deer hunting, and the time spent with his nieces and nephews. He considered his friends as family and would do anything for them.
Surviving are his mother, Karlene "Karlie" White, of Apple River, IL; his siblings, Kristie Cease, of Louisville, KY, David (Melody) White, of Arlington, KY, and Krystal Spencer, of Benton, KY; a brother-in-law, Shane (Sarah) Edwards, of Paducah, KY; eight (8) nieces and nephews; his grandfather, Bud Nesbitt, of Apple River, IL; aunts and uncles, Kathy (Terry) Arnold, David (Carol) Lindemer; cousins, Jason (Lindsey) Arnold, Tyler Arnold, Christian (Joni) Lindemer and Evan Lindemer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill White; grandparents, Mary and Irvine White and Neva Nesbitt; a brother-in-law, Ben Spencer; and nephew, Trent Edwards.
An Andrew P. Nesbitt Memorial Fund has been established for a charity or charities to be determined by the family.
