Obituary
Alverna Ricke, 91, a long time beloved resident of Mount Saint Joseph, in Lake Zurich, IL, formerly of Menominee, IL, passed away, October 4, 2017, at home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, in Menominee, with visitation from 9:45 A/M to 10:15 A/M, at the church. Burial will be in Nativity BVM Cemetery.
She was born on October 7, 1925, to Herman and Susan (Bonnet) Ricke, in Menominee Township, of Jo Daviess County.
She is survived by two (2) sisters, Rosella McCarthy, of Lake Villa, IL, and Anna Mae (Robert) Sadler, of East Dubuque, IL. She was a beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three (3) sisters, Celia Ricke, Rosemary Heller and Rita Knautz; two (2) brothers, Clarence Ricke and Arnold, in infancy; two (2) half-sisters, Irma Kohler and Alvina Hasken; and five (5) half-brothers, Victor, Ed, Joe, Al and Bill Ricke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Saint Joseph, 24955 N. Hwy. 12, Lake Zurich, IL 60047, for resident care.
The Miller Funeral Home, of East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
