Alverna M. (Budden) Ramaker, 94, of Sinsinawa, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Dubuque Specialty Care, in Dubuque, IA.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Sinsinawa, WI, with Fr. Ken Frisch officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, on Monday, November 14, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, IL, where the parish scripture service will be at 3:45 P/M. Friends may also call from 9:30 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at the Church.

Alverna was born on October 18, 1922, in Menominee, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Hilby) Budden.  She was united in marriage to Leo H. Ramaker on October 4, 1943, at Nativity BVM Church, in Menominee.  He preceded her in death on November 4, 1983.

She and Leo farmed until his death.  Alverna enjoyed babies, canning, gardening, working with her flowers, music, donuts from Sutter's Bakery, her floral dresses and never mailed anything without including a personal note.  She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its Council of Catholic Women.  Alverna loved living at the Academy Apartments at Sinsinawa, where she was a resident for fifteen (15) years.

Surviving are four (4) daughters, Rose Girton, of Yorba Linda, CA, Mary (Larry) Westhoff, of New Vienna, IA, Ruth (Dan) Timmerman, of Menominee, IL, and Carol (John) Weaver, of Allen, TX; a daughter-in-law, Jean Ramaker, of Hazel Green, WI; twenty-five (25) grandchildren; one (1) step-grandson; thirty (30) great-grandchildren; one (1) great-great-granddaughter and two (2) on the way; her siblings, Eldon Budden, Wilma Budden and a brother-in-law, Ed Handfelt, all of Menominee, IL; and a sister-in-law, Helen "Janet" Ramaker, of St. Paul, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; a son, David Ramaker; son-in-law, Dave Girton; a grandson, Joey Westhoff; grandson-in-law, James Seymour; siblings, Eloyse (Dick) Runde, Evelyn Handfelt and Donald (Irene) Budden; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mathias and Lena Ramaker; inlaws, Catherine (Walter) Handfelt, Frank (Agnes) Ramaker, Joseph Ramaker, John (Kathleen Munyon) Ramaker, Fred Ramaker, Marion (Ray) Lange; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family wishes to "thank" the nurses and staff at Dubuque Specialty Care and Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care given to their mother.
