Alice L. Miller, 77, of Benton, WI, formerly of Dubuque, IA, pased away at 3:45 A/M, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA, following a sudden illness.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

There will be no public visitation. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.

Alice was born on September 25, 1935, in Cassville, WI, the daughter of John and Jessie (Cornwell) Brokus. She married Robert E. Miller on May 8, 1953, in Dubuque. She was a homemaker and loved her time spent at the Dubuque Dog Track.

Surviving are her husband, Robert E. "Bob" Miller; five children, Charlotte Miller, of East Dubuque, IL, Bonnie Miller, of Guttenberg, IA, Alice Miller, of Dubuque, IA, Linda Martin, of Anamosa, IA, and Robert Miller, II, of Benton, WI; 16 Grandchildren; 36 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
