Obituary
Adele A. Dalen, 87, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 6:50 P/M, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at home.
Private visitation and funeral services will be Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, with Pastor Jack Redmond officating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Adele was born on April 11, 1928, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Edith (McClain) Jenaman. She was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School, Class of 1946. She married LeRoy E. Dalen on August 2, 1947, in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.
Adele was a homemaker. She loved attending the Diamond Jo Casino and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five (5) children, Lyle (Pat) Dalen, of Rochelle, IL, Mark (Mary Jo) Dalen, of East Dubuque, IL, John (Sue) Dalen, of Shabbona, IL, Frank (Cindy) Dalen, of Eldridge, IA, and James (Sarah) Dalen, of Dubuque, IA; eight (8) grandchildren; twelve (12) great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette (Donald) Miller, of Portland, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edith; her husband, LeRoy; a brother, Charles Jenaman; and two (2) sisters, Lorraine Vonk and Mildred Roddick.
